Technical indicators Chinese buyers look at

  1. Pricing basis Usually LME or SHFE aluminium plus a premium or discount; the quotational period and the exchange-rate source must be specified.
  2. Specification Executed by grade designation and alloy composition; the composition certificate must correspond to the physical batch number.
  3. Key documents Batch number, producer certificate, warehouse receipt, packing and loading records, certificate of origin.
  4. Secondary material Composition and appearance drive the classification; aluminium content alone is not an explanation.

Admissibility and compliance points

  1. Secondary aluminium feedstock must be cleared of solid-waste status before shipment, with photographs, video and any necessary unpacking-inspection records prepared.
  2. China has banned the import of solid waste by any means since 1 January 2021; where the nature of the cargo does not match the declaration, the exposure can escalate from back-tax to return shipment and penalties.
  3. Some exporting countries have previously restricted aluminium ingot exports; confirm the policy in force before trading.

  2. Irkeshtam (road) Kyrgyz aluminium ingot and antimony ore.
  3. FOB sea freight Hub aluminium products and secondary aluminium feedstock.
  4. CIF China bonded warehouse Where the seller can organise international logistics, payment follows inspection inside the warehouse.
