1. Pricing method Mostly priced by metal tonne or by proportion of contained metal. Unit prices are high, so penalty clauses move the settlement figure noticeably.
2. Lot characteristics Individual lots are small and frequency irregular. Long-term contracts are uncommon; most deals close as spot trades or through a consigned bidding process.
3. Key documents Export licence, a statement of dangerous-goods or regulated status, test reports, and packaging and transport compliance documents.
4. Risk-control focus Verifying who the counterparty is and whether title can be traced matters more than the price negotiation itself.

Admissibility and compliance points

1. Some items such as magnesium powder may carry dangerous-goods transport status; packaging, labelling and mode of carriage must comply accordingly.
2. In some source regions, tantalum-niobium falls under conflict-minerals due-diligence requirements; a source statement and chain traceability should travel with the cargo.
3. High-value, small-volume cargo is where impersonation and fabricated supply concentrate; the payment schedule should be bound strictly to evidence of title.
